Withings Smart Baby Monitor. Sexy looking, with a large price tag.

Let me start by saying that at $299 dollars this almost costs as much as your phone. Withings has made a very unique baby monitor and it’s quite sexy indeed but the price point may scare most people from enjoying this new device.

Withings has released the Smart Baby Monitor  that allows you to use your iPhone, iPad or iPod to view high quality, remote video of your child’s room, even at night.

In addition to using your IOS device to view video, the Smart Baby Monitor allows you through touch interface to play a lullaby, or enable monitoring of the temperature and humidity of the room. The baby monitor comes with  notifications that can be enabled on your iPhone or iPad if your child moves or makes a noise.

The case is discreet, like a music box. You have the option of connecting via wifi network or  connect via ethernet. It is also equipped with a small battery to compensate for a short power outage. The system offers a 3 megapixel camera with a wide angle lens with night vision, accompanied by a very sensitive microphone. You can also interact directly with your child by talking on your mobile phone, the box is equipped with a loudspeaker.
